About Us
Progressive Faith Media is a resource to
ease media access to moderate and progressive religious leaders prepared
to comment on faith and politics. It was initiated by Res Publica in
response to religious leaders’ concern that the faith and values debate too
often pits far-right religious leaders against far-left secularists. On
the most profound issues of public debate – those involving our values
and religious beliefs – the media and public must hear from more
diverse and representative religious voice. The Speakers Bureau includes
national spokespeople from different faiths representing decades of service
in the prophetic tradition. PFM provides journalists and producers with
background on the resurgent progressive religious voice on America ’s
morality debate.
Progressive Faith Media's staff of seven is led by Eric Sanders and Jennifer
Mason with support from Stephanie Peacock.
Eric Sanders has been working on
cause-related marketing campaigns for over ten years and
has focused primarily on HIV/AIDS community activism and
media relations. He has built and implemented quick-response
teams that have generated tens of thousands of communications
to legislators on pressing issues and pending legislation.
He has been a successful entrepreneur and volunteered for
more than a decade with God’s Love We Deliver.
Jennifer Mason graduated summa
cum laude in government and theology from the University
of Notre Dame and from New York University Law. She served
as a law clerk to Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.
Her subsequent legal practice at Holland and Knight has
focused on civil rights, children’s rights, and the
First Amendment. She has previously worked as outreach
coordinator for West Women's and Children's Shelter as
a Holy Cross Associate.
Stephanie Peacock serves as a communications
consultant for Progressive Faith Media. She has extensive
experience in designing and implementing cause-related
communications campaigns and has previously served as the
director of communications for the National Women’s Business Council and the Center
for Women’s Business Research.
